Four point contact bearings are single row angular contact ball bearings, therefore requiring significantly less axial space than double row designs.
Bearings include solid outer rings, split inner rings, and ball and cage components with brass or polyamide cages. The two-piece inner ring can accommodate a large number of ball bearings. The two halves of the inner ring should match the specific bearing and should not be interchanged with other bearings of the same size. The outer ring with ball and cage components can be installed separately from the inner ring halves.
